In the northwest of Mecklenburg, 15 kilometers from the Hanseatic city of Wismar and the Baltic Sea coast, the Seehotel is located in the middle of the Sternberger Seenland nature reserve. The hotel complex is located directly on the shores of Lake Neuklostersee. The privately run hotel opened in the summer of 1993 and initially consisted of two buildings: a clinker brick farmhouse and a thatched half-timbered barn from the 19th century. Used as an LPG vacation home during the GDR era, the property was later renovated and extended with a great deal of love and dedication and has been continuously expanded ever since. Today, in addition to the large hotel park with its own sandy beach and jetty, the hotel complex also includes the „Badescheune“, the „Wohlfühlhaus“, the „Gänsebar“, the „Kinderhotel“, the „Bootshaus“, as well as tennis courts and much more. The Seehotel has a total of 26 individually designed rooms and suites. In the old stone house, the „Badescheune“ and the „Kunstscheune“ you can stay in rooms with some spacious living and sleeping galleries. There are also three vacation homes on the hotel grounds with a small kitchenette, terrace and garden. The region around the Seehotel offers guests a wide range of cultural and tourist attractions: Interesting excursion destinations include the state capital Schwerin with its wonderful museum, which has one of the largest Duchamp collections, the Hanseatic city of Wismar with its magnificent brick churches, the „White City by the Sea“ Heiligendamm, as well as Bad Doberan and Güstrow with the Barlach Museum. The neighboring town of Neukloster also offers a well-preserved Cistercian monastery with impressive stained glass windows. Another attraction is the high ropes course in the monastery park, which can be booked by groups at any time. The Seehotel is located on the European Brick Gothic Route and offers a special offer in cooperation with the association of the same name!
